Multiple people are injured after a minivan reversed through a fireworks stand in the Festus Walmart parking lot.
According to the stand owner, Bryan Smith, the driver was being cited for hitting other vehicles before then crashing through the stand.
"He had already hit two vehicles. The police were doing a report and told him to back up and he.... backed up," Smith tells KMOX.
Smith says the driver crashed into a stand employee before then pinning a father and son under the vehicle. The boy was able to crawl out but the condition of the father is not known at this time.
"It hit [the employee] and threw her about 60 feet up into the fireworks. The tentpole laid on top of her. [The driver] kept going. There was a customer with a little boy, approximately six or seven years old," Smith says.
