ST. LOUIS (KMOX) - Police blocked the entrance to the McKinley Street bridge after a man, who was a murder suspect, shot himself following a police chase. Police say a baby was found in the backseat of the vehicle he was driving.
The bridge that crossed the Mississippi River near Salisbury Street in north St. Louis was closed from the Missouri side around 1 p.m. Friday. Police were chasing a red Dodge Charger out of Illinois.
As the driver entered Missouri, the car stopped and the man shot himself. There was a baby in the car with the man.
