ST. LOUIS (KMOX) - In-person no-excuse absentee voting starts Tuesday in St. Louis City and County, two weeks ahead of Election Day.
Starting Tuesday, all registered city voters can begin voting early for the Nov. 5th general election.
In St. Louis City, there are eight locations where city voters can go to vote early.
"You can come to the election board or you can go to one of seven library/satellite locations," said Leo Stoff, Republican Director of Elections for the City of St. Louis to KMOX. "All you need is a photo ID, and you can go ahead and vote. We encourage voters whether it's during this two week no-excuse or on Election Day to familiarize yourself with the ballot. It's a long ballot."
In St. Louis County, there are 14 satellite polling locations for county voters wanting to cast their ballot early.
"It's just like early voting," said County Democratic Elections Director Eric Fey to KMOX. "We have 14 locations across St. Louis County, pick anyone you want. There's a lookup tool on our website, you can see how long the lines are at each location if that might help you decide."
Fey recommends voters to review their sample ballot prior to going to vote.
"Mark it and take it with you to use a guide, otherwise, it's going to take you a while to vote," said Fey.
St. Louis County Republican Director of Elections Rick Stream also encourages St. Louisans to get out and vote early.
"The ballot is very long and there will be long lines on Election Day," said Stream. "Show up, look on our website for the 14 locations and between 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday-Friday and on Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. they can come to the satellite locations and vote."
