
Like many other across the nation, St. Louis saw a large turnout to a No Kings march. Tens of thousands marched from Kiener Plaza around the city over the course of several hours.
Some residents took issue with President Donald Trump's ICE raids targeting migrants.
"They're stealing people off the street. Out of their schools, out of their jobs, that's not American."
Others were opposed to military parade taking place in D.C.
"We're the nastiest a-- military in the world, what are we doing? We don't need to show that off."
Asked what the endgame was, congress was invoked multiple times.
"I want congress to stand up or turnover in two years," said one resident while another wanted congress to do something "about the unrestrained power that Trump has."
However some were less optimistic the day of protests would bring change.
"I think Trump will do what he wants to do."
St. Louis City Police Spokesman Mitch McCoy says there were no issues between police and protesters.
"Things were very peaceful, it was very coordinated."
McCoy says no arrests were made.
