Pocahontas, Ill. (KMOX) - A fiery crash involving an 18-wheeler and a cargo van forced the closure of westbound Interstate 70 in Bond County, Illinois Friday for nearly six hours.

State police say one person was killed in the wreckage and two others suffered non life-threatening injuries.

Troopers say the cargo van crossed the center line near Pocahontas just after 9:00 AM and struck the semi head-on.

The semi's trailer was carrying assorted car parts.

It took about two hours for firefighters to put out the flames.
