CHESTERFIELD, Mo. (KMOX) - Police are hoping to put an end to a fragrance theft ring targeting stores in St. Louis County and St. Charles County.

More than $50,000 worth of perfume and cologne is missing from stores, according to Chesterfield Police Sgt. Robert Powell, "There doesn't appear to be any sort of brand targeted. They're just going in, taking what they can, and usually are out within a minute."

Powell says they started receiving reports of this small group of 4 (2 men and 2 women) hitting stores in early February, with the latest being about a week or so ago.

He says if you see something, say something to law enforcement, don't try to stop them yourself, "If it's a location where you know where they (the suspects) are, if you know their names, just any information, we don't care how minor it may be."
