Up to 300 tires, chemicals and other flammable material inside fueled the fire at Macs Tire & Auto on Tesson Ferry Road. Authorities say the vehicle was running and it "ignited somehow."

There was only one person inside the building and that person was able to get out safely. No injuries have been reported.

The business is right across the street from a Mehlville fire station, but the crew was returning from another call when the call for this fire came in.
