A black bear the size a cow stomped into the courtyard of the Benedictine Living Community at the Shrine in Belleville Monday.
Tammy Sinn is a physical therapist assistant. "Took pictures and videos and it came up to the window and looked in at us...multiple times. After awhile it went on its way."
"We did have one resident outside. We had to get him back in just in case. People say they're harmless but I wouldn't want to encounter it outside," Sinn says.
Sinn says it was first time a black bear had been spotted on the property.
