Richmond Heights Police say they are wrapping up their investigation of the man who shot a teen, after he tracked down four would-be car thieves using GPS technology.
Richmond Heights Police Chief Gerry Rohr says the man is claiming "self defense"-- that someone in the stolen car pointed a gun at him before he fired at them.
The shooting happened Monday morning near Big Bend and Highway 40, on the east bound entrance ramp, where the young man in his 20's caught up with his mother's stolen BMW, rammed his Acura into the rear, then got out and shot into the car.
Police found some guns and captured three of the four suspects who ran off, including a juvenile with "non life-threatening injuries."
