ST. LOUIS - Berkeley Police Department is investigating an accidental shooting that killed a seven-year-old boy Monday afternoon near the townhouse apartments off of North Hanley Road and Franciola Drive.
According to police, the boy was in the back of his grandparent's Ford F-150 while they were going back to school shopping. At some point, the boy got ahold of a pistol and shot himself
It is still unclear whether the boy was alone during the incident. It is also unclear who owned the gun and if it was properly stowed or was it left negligently.
