ST. LOUIS (KMOX) - While no tornadoes hit the Metro East Friday, Bethalto Illinois sustained significant wind damage, in particular, the Kickapoo Village Mobile home park.
Ameren Illinois spokesman Brian Bretsch tells KMOX there were tornadoes in two towns in their coverage area. "Had one in Sherman in Illinois which is just to the north of Springfield, where the State Capitol is, and then I know for sure we had a tornado touch down in Robinson, IL. If you're looking at the ma of Illinois, that would be on the Eastern side of the state and it's getting really close to touching the Indiana boarder."
Robinson Illinois is one of the hard hit areas that Governor Pritizker will be touring this morning, along with Belvedere, Illinois. The Apollo Theatre roof collapsed during a concert, killing one, injuring 28 others, two seriously.
Belleville and Maryville, had several power outages. If power was not able to be restored Saturday night, Bretsch says it will be by today (Sunday).

Ameren Missouri's Lucas Klein says there are several crews, such as linemen and vegetation workers continuing power restoration and removing trees and limbs.
Klein says the "workers come from Ameren Missouri crews who are local and contractors who are, for the most part, local or working for Ameren Missouri on a regular basis."
Klein says with more severe weather in the forecast for Tuesday, crews will clean-up Friday's damage, restock and be ready for whatever Mother Nature sends their way.
