St. Louis County residents could see more service cuts next year under County Executive Sam Page's final budget.
It eliminates 139 jobs. It closes the county's last two pools, at the North County Recreation Complex and the Pavilion at Lemay. It scales back park rangers. County offices would stay closed on Fridays.
Page says the budget comes down to one question, "How do we preserve services residents expect with the available revenue to pay for them."
Page wants voters to reconsider an online sales tax in April.
Council budget chair Shalonda Web says the council will review the plan department by department.
"We will be going through that with several meetings throughout the month of October, November and the beginning of December as it pertains to each department."
Page leaves office in January. Voters pick his successor next month.
St. Louis County Executive Sam Page wants to balance his final budget with about $66M in one-time money, most of it from the Rams settlement.
