ST. LOUIS, MO (KMOX) - You're travelling this holiday season and need your COVID vaccination information, but you don't want to risk losing the paper card. A scan or photograph of your COVID vaccination record may not be accepted, depending on where you're going. But there are ways you can get a digital copy of your COVID shot information, easily accessible on your mobile device.

If you're a resident of Illinois, the Illinois Department of Public Health is participating in the SMART Health Card program. That means you can create a QR code and load your vaccine information into your Apple or Google wallet on your mobile device.

If you're in Missouri, there's not a SMART Health Card option through the state, but there is through many major pharmacies including Walgreens, Walmart, CVS and Express Scripts if you got your shot at one of their locations.

Or if your health care provider uses the My Chart portal, you can create a QR or PDF copy of your vaccine documents.
