This week, Fox News’ Tucker Carlson released new footage of the January 6 attacks on the U.S. Capitol. St. Louis defense attorney Al Watkins, who represented Jacob Chansley — also known as the “QAnon Shaman” — tells KMOX that the Department of Justice hid favorable evidence that might have affected the case.

“The video is something which demonstrates with clarity that Jake Chansley was indeed peaceful,” Watkins said. “Jake was not violent, he was not an insurrectionist, he was not a leader, he did not lead the charge into the Capitol.”

Chansley was sentenced to 41 months in prison after making a plea bargain. Watkins no longer represents Chansley, but he predicts that the new evidence could lead to appeals for January 6 defendants.
