Roaming St. Louis: Cultures, flavors fill Soulard Farmer's Market

Soulard Farmer's Market
An Asian cuisine stand is among the cultures represented at the Soulard Farmer's Market
Scott Jagow

For this week's Roaming St. Louis segment, KMOX weekend host Scott Jagow wandered into the historic Soulard Farmer's Market. It's one of the oldest operating markets in the country and while winter is a slow season, Scott still met fascinating people with stories to tell.

Among his stops: A meat market that sells turtle, gator and raccoon; a Vietnamese stand open all by itself on a lonely corridor; Cajun food from scratch, spices and teas, and an hearty produce seller who never misses a day. Listen to their stories below these photos of the vendors.
