ST. LOUIS (KMOX) - A quiet Saturday for police at Mardi Gras in Soulard, at least compared to years past.
St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department says 12 people were arrested or given summons over the weekend during the Mardi Gras celebrations.
Seven of those arrests were for underage drinking and were issued summons and released. Three people were arrested on at-large warrant for third-degree assault.
One person was arrested for resisting arrest and disturbing the peace, and another person was arrested for fourth degree assault on a police officer and resisting arrest.
Looking back in 2024 and 2022, there were ten underage drinkers caught by the cops.
Compare that to 10 years ago, there were 47 underage drinking violations.
