ST. LOUIS (KMOX) - It appears that the annual Mardi Gras party in St. Louis – which is known as one of the best/biggest in the country – will go on despite the COVID-19 pandemic.
It will be "different" than in years past, says the organizers of Soulard Mardi Gras, but "the show will go on—it will be fun, it will help you to connect with friends."
They will be rolling out their "carnival" plans on Halloween (Oct. 31), via a Facebook live at 6:45 p.m. There's an opportunity to RSVP for the live announcements that will include live music, celebrity guest appearances and contests with prizes.
"So we've been hard at work on a plan for a safe, responsible and fun 2021 Soulard Mardi Gras, in close consultation with local public health and other city officials. If there was ever a time we all need a reason to celebrate, it’s now," the website states.
Right now, they say events will run from Jan. 6, 2021 through Feb. 16, 2021.
