After two years of COVID restrictions, St. Louis' big Mardi Gras party will be full-blown this year.
By the end of it, well over half a million people will descend on the Soulard neighborhood. One thing that's new - an after-party at City Hall following the Mayor's Ball on February 17th at Union Station. One thing that's not new - there's no place to park in Soulard.
The good times start rolling Saturday with the Cajun Cook-off. The taste of Soulard is the following weekend, along with the pet parade and weiner dog derby. On the 18th, the Grand Parade follows the Mardi Gras Ball the night before. Listen below to Scott Jagow's interview with Bess McCoy from the Mardi Gras Foundation.
