Reed's attorney Peter Cohen told KMOX that Reed has no plans to resign. Cohen will speak with the U.S. attorney this afternoon to discuss the evidence in the case.

21st Ward Alderman John Collins-Muhammad and 22nd Ward Alderman Jeffrey Boyd are also accused of participating in bribery. Collins-Muhammad resigned last month, and Boyd resigned last week after the announcement of the indictment.

The three aldermen were accused of accepting cash payments, cars, and free car repairs in exchange for helping a local business owner receive tax breaks, development contracts and Minority Business Enterprise certification.
