Team spirit was in the air both in St. Louis and in Austin as St. Louis CITY SC won its first match of the season this weekend.
Bradley Carnell, the team's head coach, called it a "memorable moment for the city" on Total Information AM Monday morning.
"What a what a moment. Feels like such a long time ago. You know, we have Monday morning and cleaned the slate and ready to go again," Carnell said. "I mean, these are memories of a lifetime."
Carnell said it'll feel good to walk into CITYPARK for their next game with a win already under their belt.
"We had the Leverkusen game before the year ended in 2022, and now to have a meaningful match where there's points on the board, you know, against the good opponents…I'm just excited for everyone," he said. "This is a celebration of soccer season. And, you know, we hope to celebrate many more victories or and many home victories as well."
