
ST. LOUIS (KMOX) - The City of St. Louis has now surpassed 100 homicides for 2021.
The pace is actually a little less than last year.
Breaking down some of the data, 81 of the 101 victims are male with 20 of them female, 10 of the victims are 17 years of age or younger and seven are 50 or older.
60 of the killings remain unsolved while just 40 are closed.
Of the more than 100 people killed, 94 are African-American, five are white, one is Asian, and one is Hispanic.
These statistics are only for homicides within the city limits of St. Louis.
