The St. Louis comic convention, previously known as Wizard World, is permanently cancelled. Organizers have not said why it's gone.

After taking a couple years off due to the pandemic, the event was rebranded as Fan Expo and returned to the America's Center last year, featuring popular guests such as Star Trek's William Shatner. This year's event was supposed to take place in June.

The Business Journal reports a spokesperson said, "We have loved having you at our shows each year and we hope to have you join us at other events."

The organizer - Fan Expo HQ - says they will continue their events in other cities like Cleveland, Portland, and New Orleans this year.
