That's the word from Brian Hall of Explore St. Louis, the group that promotes and books conventions here, "we're a little bit behind pace compared to 2019, but the pace of business travel, the pace of meetings and events booking for the future is very upbeat."
Hall says business, leisure travel and event activity are all rebounding. Convention activity is down 5-to-10 percent, compared to before the pandemic, but leisure travel is up, offsetting that.
