Japan's Nidec Corp. and Brazil's Embraer are partnering to work on an electric propulsion system for electric vertical take-off landing vehicles. Some call them flying cars. They're envisioned for busy cities.
The new company's first customer is an aircraft developer called "Eve."
The new company will be called Nidec Aerospace and'll be based in Ferguson at the former Emerson campus there. It'll also use existing manufacturing lines of each company.
