Residents will get a $100 Schnucks gift card and a $50 QuikTrip gift card for gas mailed to their homes once they have gotten both doses of the Pfizer or Moderna vaccines or the one-dose Johnson & Johnson vaccine. It's being paid for by the funds the county received in the American Rescue Plan Act.

“We believe that incentives are a part of that process, that incentives to be vaccinated will help folks make a good decision,” St. Louis County Executive Dr. Sam Page said. “We’ve seen incentives available in other places in the country, and we believe they’ve helped, and we are going to try them here in St. Louis County.”

Only residents of St. Louis County who are at least 12-years-old are eligible for the incentives.

The St. Louis Metropolitan Pandemic Task Force announced Tuesday that the seven-day moving average of COVID deaths remained the same, at 9.
