Saint Louis Firefighters battled a two alarm fire in a four family flat in the 4500 hundred block of Athlone. A person who lived in the building is still unaccounted for.
Fire Captain Garon Mosby says their efforts were also hampered by a hoarding situation in one of the units.
St. Louis Firefighters had to respond back to the Athlone residence at least twice for re-kindling last Monday night.
Other fires were in the 18-hundred block of Tucker, a vacant three story structure. And a 2 and a half story building at Goodfellow and Maple. Mosby talked about the dangers of space heaters and cautions they should always be turned off before sleeping. Additionally, if you use a space heater keep it at least three feet away from anything that can burn.
