ST. LOUIS (KMOX) - Some St. Louis County first responders helped reunite a family with it's small dog that was stuck inside a sewer overnight.

St. Louis County Police officers and firefighters in the Black Jack neighborhood worked together to go inside a sewer and pull out the small dog. Police say it spent a full night in there after owners thought it had run away.

They say someone called after hearing the dog barking while they were out on a walk.

"Glad he's out," police said on social media with a picture of the rescue.
