All locations of both Schnucks and Dierbergs will be closing at 5:30 p.m. on Friday and will stay closed Saturday and Sunday. Both companies say they hope employees can spend more time with family and friends this year.

The stores will be back to normal hours on Monday, until they will close early on Dec. 31 at 8 p.m. On New Year's Day, all stores won't open until 9 a.m.

After that, it will be back to normal hours.
