ST. LOUIS (KMOX) - A 28-year-old man was arrested by St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department officers on Monday for at-large warrants after he allegedly assaulted and punched a 70-year-old woman.

Willie Scott-Wilkes, 28, was charged with third degree assault on a special victim and tampering with a witness.

Back on Feb. 8 Scott-Wilkes allegedly assaulted a 70-year-old woman on the 7800 block of North Broadway after the woman noticed Scott-Wilkes was illegally dumping his trash.

The woman confronted him and took photographs of him. Scott-Wilkes became irate, yelling at the woman to leave him alone. He then struck the woman in the face with his fist.
