Willie Boyd says when you spend twenty years in federal prison for a crime you didn't commit, it does something to you.

"It was basically a nightmare. I mean my kids grew up without me and I still suffer that.

Q: Do you feel like the federal government owes you a lot?

A: Yah, and I think they need to be honest by turning those documents over to me."

Boyd is asking the U.S. Attorney to release some 1,200 pages of court documents that he says would show that police officers lied about him being a felon in possession of a gun. One of them later went to prison for planting drugs on a suspect in a separate case.

The US Attorney's Office responded, saying they provided Boyd all the discovery he was entitled to. Adding, "That case is closed and Mr Boyd has already served his sentence."
