Association President Officer Jay Shroeder is hoping things will get better, but he says for now they don't have the manpower they need. "They triage calls. I mean the priority calls get the policemen first, and some of your other calls don't exactly get the response that we used to have."

Shroeder is hoping the new pay raise, new chief, and new circuit attorney will help with recruitment. He says police are feeling good about the Circuit Attorney's office, that when they make an arrest and go to the warrant office for charges, cases are taking shape.
