A letter from the district's human resources officer was sent to those who are not in compliance. It states, the employee is on administrative leave through this Friday, with termination effective Saturday.

It's not clear how many received the letter.

The SLPS Board of Education held a meeting Tuesday night and a woman there said she was fired by the district on Monday because she had not gotten a COVID shot yet.

Ashley Moore, a now-former SLPS employee, says her bosses told her she didn't have an approved religious exempt form, reports Fox 2. She says she had never been denied a religious exemption from vaccines while she was getting her undergraduate, master’s, and doctorate degree.
