ST. LOUIS (KMOX) - If you are looking for ways to help, here are several ways. Compiled by Greater St. Louis Inc.

Weekend of Saturday, May 24 – Monday, May 26

The teams on the ground leading tornado recovery efforts still need supplies, donations, and volunteers. Please note the list of items they’ve identified below, and that this extended weekend brings a large-scale distribution event at the Urban League headquarters and some changes in schedule at other locations.

Supplies Still Needed – Please note changes and updates for this weekend for each of the three locations that have been set up to distribute materials needed for tornado recovery.

Urban League Headquarters – 1408 North Kingshighway – Please note event Saturday

The Urban League and their partners are hosting a large-scale food, toiletries, and resource distribution event Saturday, May 24, from Noon-3 p.m. at their headquarters on Kingshighway at Dr. Martin Luther King Dr.

In addition to the continued need for tarps to help cover exposed roofs, the Urban League is requesting the following items for their ongoing relief efforts:

Volunteers Needed – In addition to supplies, volunteers are still needed at these locations. For additional volunteer opportunities, The United Way of Greater St. Louis and Action St. Louis have established volunteer centers.

Donations Needed – The City of St. Louis has worked with the St. Louis Community Foundation to establish the City of St. Louis Tornado Response Fund. This fund supports the efforts to provide immediate relief and long-term rebuilding of areas impacted by the storms.

Impacted Businesses – Through the St. Louis Development Corporation, the City has set up an assessment form to help understand the needs of businesses impacted by the storm.

United Way Relief Fund – In addition to the City of St. Louis Tornado Relief Fund, you can also make contributions to the United Way of Greater St. Louis Severe Storm/Tornado Relief Fund, which supports residents across the bi-state region who were impacted by the recent storms.
