JEFFERSON COUNTY (KMOX) - Jefferson County Sheriff's Deputies say that they have located Latimer and he was safe and unharmed.
Original Story: Jefferson County Sheriff's Deputies and High Ride Fire Protection District personnel are searching for missing 13-year-old Takota Latimer.
He was last seen around 7:00 Monday night in the area of Carol Park Road near High Ridge.
Takota's family says he has cognitive disabilities and is known to wander off.
If anyone sees Takota, they're asked to call the non-Emergency Dispatch line at 636–797–9999.
Search crews spent several hours doing grid searches, attempting tracks with a bloodhound, and searching from above with drones. The search is continuing through the night
Update October 24th @ 7:12 AM -- Police believe 13-year-old Takota Latimer is no longer in the area of Carol Park Road. They believe he may have hitched a ride and left with others from his home on North Lakeside Drive in House Springs. Police say there's no indication he was taken against his will. Jefferson County Sheriff's Department originally said Takota was last seen about 7:00 PM on Monday, October 23rd but they are now saying he left earlier than that (at 5:50 PM). He last wearing a black or gray hoodie and black oversized jogging pants with a white stripe down the side. Police have ended the ground search in and around his home. Stay tuned for updates.
