SAINT LOUIS, MO (KMOX) - Spread of coronavirus is up about 5 times what it was just 6 weeks ago, according to the latest report from the St. Louis Metropolitan Pandemic Task Force.
Dr. Alex Garza says a lot of people are using at-home tests, and not reporting when they're positive. "Other individuals are simply not testing. So we're likely undercounting the number of cases in the community by a considerable amount, and potentially spreading COVID without even knowing it."
There are 130 COVID patients now Task Force hospitals, which is the highest in a couple of months. Dr. Garza expects that number to continue to rise.
