ST. LOUIS (KMOX) - A women's college basketball team visiting St. Louis experienced heartbreak then kindness.

The Anderson University squad from Indiana stopped Friday for a photo-op at the Gateway Arch.

The team's coach says while away from their van for about thirty minutes some thieves broke into the vehicle and stole players backpacks.

The kindness part came from basketball tournament host Webster University. Its players gathered jerseys, shoes, and other needs for Anderson's players to compete Friday and Saturday.

Police have not said if they have any suspects in the burglary case.
