The ideas for St. Louis city spending its portion of the Rams Settlement Funds have been whittled from 700 down to 20. Now, it's time for residents to cast their votes.

At the online portal, stlouis.citizenlab.co, people who sign up receive 10 tokens. Those tokens can be spent on one of the 20 ideas or they can be spread around to different ideas. Those ideas include: Traffic calming and pedestrian protection, a north-south Metrolink expansion, water main replacements, subsidized child care and school construction.

Alderwoman Alisha Sonnier said she's pleased with the participation from citizens so far in this process.

"Thousands of residents, taking the time to engage this portal," she said. "A lot of times, people talk about folks in our city as if they're just dormant and inactive and unengaged. I think this portal shows that they are."

The city's looking for ways to spend the $250 million it received as part of a deal with the NFL for the Rams moving to Los Angeles. Voting will remain open until Feb. 2.
