ST. LOUIS (KMOX) - Up to five vehicles were involved in a crash just after sunrise Sunday morning at South Grand and Magnolia. One of them overturned.
Louis Bunse spoke with KMOX News at the scene, "The stop light turned green, and right when we accelerated to go forward, something hit the back of the car. My girlfriend saw it more than I did, but she's at the hospital now. She's got some neck problems from it."
Mohammad Qurshi also was in one of the cars and gave KMOX this account, "He hit the top of car and flew into the parking lot. You see that car? He was flipped and pop, pop, it broke the street light."
Qurshi said a friend in the car with him was getting ready to go to the airport when the accident happened. That friend was instead taken to a hospital for treatment of injuries.
Police say at least one victim was in "critical - unstable" condition when transported by ambulance.
