ST. LOUIS (KMOX) - There's a brand new Anheuser-Busch commercial out featuring the men and women who take care of the world famous Clydesdales.
The commercial shows you the team members at the Warm Spring Ranch in Boonville Missouri, who brush, braid, harness and hitch the Clydesdales. Warm Springs Ranch is official breeding facility of the Budweiser Clydesdales, where it is more than 70 Clydesdales ranging from foals to stallions.
KMOX had a member of the Clydesdales team to discuss the training that the Clydesdales go through and when they will be ready to be part of pulling the wagon Thursday.
Chris Wiegert, who runs the Budweiser Grant's Farm facility, which has 35 horses, say a day taking care of the animals, which are 6 feet tall and 2000 pounds, are always an utmost priority, he says the best part of the job is to turn moments that people live into memories whenever they see a clydesdale.
"Everyone loves to see these Clydesdales and they can connect with them," said Wiegert. "They been around for 90 years, there's so many memories. Getting to live those every day is my favorite part."
Wiegert says a lot of people tend to be very surprised with how big the Clydesdales really are, with Wiegert and another colleague bringing in a normal horseshoe compared to a Clydesdales horseshoe, with the latter double the size and look comparable to the width of a dinnerplate.

"You can pretty much put two (normal horseshoes) into a Clydesdale horseshoe," said Wiegert. "They got to have that big foot to support how big they really are."
