Truckload of love arrives at St. Louis Children’s Hospital

ST. LOUIS (KMOX) – Hundreds of patients at St. Louis Children's Hospital received a stuffed animal care package donated via the SendAFriend program.

SendAFriend is an eCommerce company that helps customers send personalized stuffed animal care packages to their loved ones. Customers can also a gift to a child in a hospital with the note “Someone Loves You.” To date, the GiveAFriend initiative has delivered over 7,000 care packages to children in hospitals across the Midwest.

They delivered 750 stuffed animal care packages to the St. Louis hospital on Wednesday.

"Despite COVID-19 and current economic hardships, SendAFriend customers continue to go above and beyond," explains Tyler Macke, the 21-year old founder and CEO of SendAFriend. "Each and every GiveAFriend care package is going to deliver smiles, and that’s what it’s all about."

This is not the first time SendAFriend has donated to St. Louis Children's Hospital: 200 GiveAFriend care packages were delivered in December 2020 and a monetary donation of $4,057.50 was provided in February 2020.

Macke founded the SendAFriend program in 2018. The Jackson, Mo. native's organization offers over 30 unique fluffy “friends” and has delivered over 200,000 care packages to loved ones, generating over $570,000 for pediatric care facilities across America.
