ST. LOUIS (KMOX) - The Transportation Security Administration wants you to get through airport checkpoints a bit quicker this holiday season.

TSA agents are doing their yearly media blitz, warning travelers about items not allowed in carry-on bags.

"Snow globes are not allowed, because of the liquid that's in there. It's based on size, really. Smaller globes are allowed through a checkpoint. But, we prefer that you put any snow globes in a checked bag, " said Sharron Taylor, a lead TSA agent at St. Louis Lambert International Airport.

Taylor said tools, knives, and blades also will be rejected and possibly confiscated. For a complete list of TSA regs, visit: https://www.tsa.gov/travel/security-screening/whatcanibring/all

Taylor suggests keeping gifts unwrapped, too, "We prefer that you not wrap any presents, because if we have to check it, we have to open it up. And, we'd prefer not to have to tear open any gifts."
