St. Louis Police ask for help identifying suspects in Saturday Cherokee shooting

ST. LOUIS (KMOX) - St. Louis Police detectives are asking anyone with information about a double shooting during a Cinco De Mayo street festival in the 2700 block of Cherokee at 7:30 Saturday night, to call them.

A 25-year old man and 25-year old woman were shot and injured. Police working the Cinco De Mayo detail responded to a shots fired call and found the two victims with gunshot wounds to their legs. The woman was transported to the hospital, the man refused treatment.

Victim #1 stated she was standing near the intersection observing a fight amongst a large group of males when suspect #1 began waving a handgun around. During the incident, suspect #1 fired a gunshot.
