"This is the nail in the coffin," said Circuit Attorney Kim Gardner's chief warrant officer Chris Hinckley last week during a news conference, showing heavily- edited police body cam video, telling reporters there was no attempted carjacking and implied the officers lied.

KMOX News asked Public Safety Director Dan Isom why not release all the unedited video that's out there for the public to see?

"It's our practice that we don't release investigative information or body cams (footage). That is our policy. I would refer you to the circuit attorney's office," Isom said.

The Circuit attorney's spokesperson told KMOX last week that the case was closed, yet is still being investigated.

On Thursday, Police Chief John Hayden released a statement in support of the officers.
