Car Crashes Into Carol House Quick Fix Pet Clinic, Causing Significant Damage to Building and Three Outreach Vehicles St. Louis, MO - (December 6, 2025)- Carol House Quick Fix Pet Clinic is assessing significant damage after a vehicle crashed into the side of its St. Louis clinic located on S. The collision tore a large hole into the brick exterior of the building right into the community cat room and damaged the three vehicles the organization uses for community outreach and pet transportation. St. Louis Metropolitan Police responded to the incident.

At the time of the crash, nine cats were onsite in the clinic’s community cat recovery room, as part of the clinic’s Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) program. The veterinary team is evaluating their medical condition and providing care. The crash has caused major operational disruption for Carol House Quick Fix Pet Clinic, a 501c3 nonprofit organization which provides affordable, accessible spay/neuter surgeries, preventive veterinary care, and a robust Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) program.

These services help keep pets healthy, prevent unwanted litters, ease shelter overcrowding, and support families who have limited access to care. The two vehicles that were totaled played a crucial role in transporting pets to and from surgery for families without reliable transportation, and their loss will temporarily reduce the clinic’s ability to reach the pets who need assistance most. “The damage from this crash will absolutely delay care for pets who have nowhere else to turn,” said Wendy Heckman, Executive Director of Carol House Quick Fix Pet Clinic.

“Families who rely on us for transportation and affordable veterinary services are already facing barriers, and this setback makes it even harder for the pets who need us most.

We are grateful that no one was seriously hurt, but the impact on our ability to reach vulnerable animals is significant.” The clinic now faces urgent, unexpected costs to repair the building and replace the outreach vehicles. Community support will be critical to restoring services quickly.

A donation page has been set up for anyone wishing to help the clinic recover and continue providing care: CarolHousePetClinic.org/rebuild. -more- For more information, please contact:
