A portion of the video of the school shooting in Uvalde has been leaked. Many are outraged about the leak, while others are angry about what the video shows.

Chris Fox from the CBS radio bureau in Austin told KMOX that he was surprised to see the video released.

"Tony Pulaski, the reporter for the Austin American Statesman, obviously catching a lot of flack for for releasing it," Fox said. "And he's come out with a statement today saying that the truth and the public's right to know are our guideposts. And so that's what was the reasoning why they released it -- they only released portions of it."

Fox added that the head of the House committee investigating the shooting is glad the public can see some of the video.

"He does believe that watching the entire segment of law enforcement response or lack thereof is also important," Fox said. "And so they're still moving ahead with their plans to show the full video to the families of Uvalde victims on Sunday."

He said that in the full video, which is 77 minutes long, the most disturbing part shows the gunman casually walking the hallways of the school. The sounds of gunfire he said are disturbing, too, and watching the police not move for 70 or so minutes.

"That's the other thing that parents are most angry about, is the inaction of the police," he said. "So Uvalde police was represented, Uvalde school district police was represented, DPS was represented, and also federal agents, where they're all heavily armed, all with ballistic shields, and yet there was still no activity, nothing done for over 70 minutes."
