KIRKWOOD (KMOX) -- A church here plans a prayer vigil Tuesday night.

Eliot Unitarian, on South Taylor at Argonne, says its Black Lives Matter sign has been vandalized three times, the latest at midnight on June 6th. The church says the incidents have become "increasingly aggressive."

Kirkwood police are keeping a close eye on the building.

The news conference and prayer vigil begins at 6:15 p.m.

The Rev. Barbara Gadon, Eliot's lead minister, said in a statement: "We will not give in to hate. Love must always win."
