WENTZVILLE, Mo. (KMOX)--An overnight manhunt in Wentzville took hours to bring a murder suspect into custody.
Wentzville Police say a man shot another man inside a townhome in the 1300 block of Hidden Valley Drive at about 10:30 p.m. Tuesday night.
The shooter then fled on foot into nearby subdivisions. Wentzville PD's Sgt. Jake Schmidt tells KMOX technology helped bring the suspect in custody.
"All the residents that have Ring cameras really helped us," Sgt. Schmidt said. "A resident here in this community contacted us that they had some motion of a subject on their camera. We went by and identified the suspect." About 6 hours after the shooting, the suspect caught.
The two men were in their 30s. There was also a woman inside the home at the time of the shooting. A motive for the killing is still under investigation.
