Bailey Breedlove was visiting Frontier City Six Flags with her family when she got into a confrontation with a park security guard that nearly led to her arrest.
Breedlove's daughter was first confronted by the security guard for rolling down a hill wearing Heelies. As Breedlove and her daughter tried to walk away, Breedlove wrote on Facebook that the guard "proceeded to follow me and grabbed my shoulder to turn me around and proceeded to tell me my shorts were ‘too short.'"
Then, Breedlove writes a manager in the park showed up and began "body shaming" her, and told her she needed to buy new shorts immediately.
Breedlove was threatened with trespassing, was escorted to the entrance of the park, but was not allowed to leave after she was blocked by more park security, cuffs in hand and demanding her identification.
When Breedlove asked for probable cause for her potential arrest, the female officer answered, "Because they are the police," Breedlove wrote.
Although Breedlove was eventually let go without being arrested, according to the New York Post, she was banned from the park for five years.
According to a spokesperson of Frontier City Six Flags, Breedlove “was initially stopped because her shorts exposed a significant portion of her buttocks," though she was escorted from the park "because of her behavior towards the police, our team members, and other park guests."
Six Flags conducted an internal review of the matter, and found that Breedlove “was given multiple opportunities to change or cover up, but refused. Instead, she responded with profanity and offensive conduct, including further exposing her buttocks," according to the park.
