St. Louis (KMOX) -- The Missouri School Board Association has quit the national group in protest over a letter to the White House comparing parents to domestic terrorists.

MSBA leaders say the National School Board Association does not align with the values of the state organization.

Executive Director Melissa Randol says the national association's apology was a step in the right direction, but not enough to prevent their withdrawal.
