A former star of "The Office" had to cancel a comedy show after someone fired shots inside the club.

Actor and comedian Craig Robinson was set to perform at the Comedy Zone in Charlotte, NC on Saturday. But minutes before the show began, an armed man entered the club and opened fire.

Thankfully, no one was hurt and the suspect was taken into custody.

After being evacuated from the club, Robinson, known for his role as Darryl Philbin on "The Office," posted an Instagram video assuring fans that he was safe.

"There was an active shooter at the club I was at, so we had to run over here to this concert," he said. "I was in the green room and they were like 'Everybody get out.' It was wild. It was a moment for sure."

The comedian was still recording when a woman declared "they got him," apparently referring to the suspect.

Robinson later shared a statement on his Instagram.

"Thank you to the Comedy Zone security and staff for getting us to safety quickly. Thank you everyone for your outpouring of support and well wishes. Thank you CMPD for swift action in apprehending the shooter. Hopefully he gets the help he needs. Thanks be to God no one was hurt. Please stay safe everyone," he said.

The suspect, 36-year-old Omar James McCombs, was charged with nine counts in connection to the incident, WSOC-TV reported. Charges include assault by pointing a gun, discharging a firearm within an enclosure to incite fear and possession of a firearm by a felon. He's being held on a $90,000 bond.
